NORTH SHORE NEST

North Shore Nest was born in 2004 when co-founders Melinda Cahill and Suzanne Glavin met and discovered their shared love for interior design. Working from their basements, they started taking on design projects for family and friends on top of working their full-time careers. When the market crashed, they decided to shift their focus and launch North Shore Nest full-time. For the last twenty years, they have found themselves energized every day by work that they love, which is designing spaces for their clients who range from young families to working professionals.

Cahill and Glavin have always shared a passion for both great design and sensibility—a combination that transforms interiors into warm, livable spaces that stand the test of time. Their fresh approach to design shines through the layers of depth and individuality built into each space that is created to improve the lives of their clients. This perfect union of beauty and functionality is at the core of their design philosophy and mission to “live beautifully everyday.”

North Shore Nest is based on the North Shore of Chicago, serving Chicago and surrounding suburbs, as well as locations throughout the United States. Melinda and Suzanne specialize in designing vacation homes and understanding the way that clients live and entertain while at the lake, in the mountains, or beachside.
